Understanding Cyera and DSPM.
Is DSPM the same as CSPM?
No. CSPM looks mainly at how cloud infrastructure is set up. DSPM looks at the data itself. The two work together, because DSPM shows which cloud findings expose sensitive data.
Does Cyera replace DLP?
Not always. DSPM gives discovery, classification and posture context. DLP enforces policy and stops sensitive data from moving. Cyera can support an existing DLP programme and help it cover and rank the right data.
Can Cyera find shadow data?
Yes. Cyera is built to find unknown, unmanaged, copied or forgotten data stores across supported environments and check if they hold sensitive data.
